Give your garden birds shelter and protection from predators and bad weather with this smart bird house. Designed for robins, it also suits spotted flycatchers and common redstarts.

18mm thick walls and a sloping, overhanging roof keep birds warm and dry in bad weather, while ventilation holes let fresh air in and prevent overheating. The base of the box has four drainage holes and the inner sides are roughened to help young birds climb out of the box.

For robins, place the box low down among dense bushes, protected from rain and direct sunlight. For flycatchers and redstarts, mount the box on a wall or tree at a height of between 1-5m (3.5 – 16.5ft).

Clean out nest boxes between breeding seasons.
